If Starbucks can convince Brittany Spears to drink their products maybe they can teach us how to share the Gospel better.

Sharing the Gospel is a lot like selling the Gospel. We can learn how to share the Gospel better by studying how Starbucks sells coffee. Starbucks didn’t build their business by telling us all about the wonderful features of their latte’s or by trying to impress us with the education of their baristas. They relied on their customers’ testimonies. Everyone who tried a Starbucks latte went and told their friends that Starbucks makes a really tasty drink—how they tried lots of different drinks and the ones made by Starbucks were the best. A testimony is a powerful thing. That’s why marketers love to share what customers say about their products.
So why do we focus on our knowledge of the Bible when we share the Gospel? Information doesn’t convince nearly as well as experience.
The next time you get a chance to share the Gospel, just share your story.
